Our story begins in 1979, when Sebastiano Trapanotto, our founder, a visionary with deep Sicilian roots, brought the essence of ancient Sicily to Tuscany. Born in Sicily in 1945, just after the war, Sebastiano grew up shaped by resilience, tradition, and the raw beauty of the land. When he arrived in Tuscany as a young man, he came with little more than a few sheep, determination, and the recipes and philosophies passed down through generations.

Through hard work and unwavering passion, he built himself up from nothing, a self-made man who went on to create an empire, admired and loved by all who knew him. Sebastiano was known for his warm spirit and extraordinary sociability; he was always ready to welcome guests, host grand banquets, and share stories with new friends. His life was a celebration of community, generosity, and the blending of cultures.
By gently merging Sicilian passion with the elegance of Tuscany, he sparked a unique dialogue between two lands: a harmony of flavours, values, and traditions that still defines us today.
His legacy now lives on through his two sons, the heirs who honour his vision while carrying it forward into the future.
